Hug Pelvic Physio
Welcome to Hug Pelvic Physio. My name is Louise Hug, an APA Titled Pelvic Health and Continence Physiotherapist with over 10 years of physiotherapy experience and a Master’s degree in Continence and Pelvic Health.
Following the birth of my first child in 2017, I developed a passion for pelvic health and completed advanced training in women’s and men’s pelvic health, urinary and bowel dysfunction, real-time ultrasound, ano-rectal disorders, Pilates, and perinatal care. Since then, I have dedicated my career to helping people of all ages improve bladder, bowel, pelvic pain and sexual function.
After seven years in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, I spent three years working in specialist pelvic health and urology settings, gaining extensive experience in conservative and post-operative management of urological conditions, including prostate cancer rehabilitation.
In August 2024, I founded Hug Pelvic Physio within Perth Reconstructive Urology in Palmyra, providing collaborative multidisciplinary care alongside urologists, colorectal surgeons, gastroenterologists, gynaecologists and other allied health professionals. I have a particular interest in managing pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, bowel dysfunction, and male pelvic health.
I also established the Hug Pelvic Health Store to improve access to evidence-informed pelvic health products, including my own range developed to support pelvic pain management.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and delivering holistic, compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers patients to achieve their best pelvic health.
