Dr Laura Surmon

Dr Laura Surmon FRACGP PhD MD is originally from Sydney, moving to Perth in 2021. She has completed the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and comes with a wealth of varied life experience and training. Laura has extensive research and clinical experience as a scientist across areas such as preeclampsia and assisted reproductive technology [Infertility and IVF]. Laura has also played a significant role in the education and training of future medical practitioners, and currently teaches at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle.

As a General Practitioner, Dr Surmon is passionate about holistic, individualistic and compassionate care for her patients. She firmly believes that the doctor-patient relationship is a partnership and collaboration, striving to empower her patients in their own health care in order to achieve the best health outcomes.

Dr Surmon has particular interest in the specialty areas of; women’s health including perimenopause and menopause management; infertility; mental health; medical weight loss and weight management; and injectables including volumising treatments, PRP/PRF, Rejuran and muscle relaxers for wrinkles and medical concerns such as bruxism [teeth grinding] and excessive sweating.
